The Future Battery Industries Cooperative Research Centre team were out in force to support our sponsorship of the Paydirt Media Pty Ltd Battery Minerals Business Breakfast. The precursor event to the two-day conference program, attendees had the opportunity hear from US Consul General David Gainer, First Secretary UK High Commission Peter Harrington, GM Critical Minerals Facilitation Office Andrew Hutchinson and MD of Lithium Australia Adrian Griffin.
The panel, facilitated by David Doepel, discussed supply chain security, the critical role of partnerships between Australia, the UK and the US and the need to move as far downstream onshore as possible.
Jacques Eksteen welcomed guests to the breakfast commenting on the scale of the opportunity that Australia has to add value to our mineral endowment and the key role batteries can play in the race to decarbonise.
Also in attendance was the Hon Bill Johnston Minister for Mines, Petroleum and Energy and a number of FBICRC participants.
