This week the Future Battery Industries Cooperative Research Centre’s Education and Training Manager Dr Rodney Thiele led a national conversation about the tsunami of battery employees that will be needed between now and 2030 and how the education and training sector will need to respond in order to meet growing battery demand and deliver that workforce.
With representation from most Australian states, attendees included industry employers, HR managers, TAFE and university stakeholders and government policy makers who collectively demonstrated a high degree of engagement and deep commitment to meeting this challenge head on.
Speakers included Allan Pedersen Ty Theodore Nhi Do, Shannon O’Rourke and Trish Miller.
The FBICRC will continue to engage with all stakeholders over the coming months as we seek to deliver a nationally coordinated approach to new course and curriculum development for the emerging battery sector.
